Random AI Battles while Traveling Empty Random AI Battles while Traveling

Similar to the Arena battles but on random occurences while traveling in kyoto and if possible other areas.

I can imagine a lot of users complaining about this, especially if placed in Kyoto where the other race can attack when one is found vulnerable.
How would this improve game-play?

It is true that it can be used to attack a vulnerable opponent but it can also hinder a hunting one. They will serve more as obstacles, either for those who are chasing or those who are chased and for those who don't like to sit in a spot to wait for AP it can provide some entertainment for them. I just find that travel is a bit too passive and i don't think we are too vulnerable since we can teleport back from any spot back to SS or HM and we have the novelty shop available anywhere. They only vulnerability this should bring is that after the battle with AI some could attack you.

These Ai could be stronger than Arena ones D:
And when in battle, someone else can't attack you like what happens with regular Ai.

No o.o they should be either easy or normal AIs because then they will be a bit too problematic. The AI is more for obstacles and if you put AI stronger than Hard almost no one will be able to travel o.o

No one should attack you either in AI or PVP while battling o.o If that happens with arena that's a bit bad o.o

I won't comment on the gains o.o

Since they would be riskier than Arena fights, they would likely give better rewards (more stat gains or AP). Even if someone can't attack you while you fight the AI, they could just as easily wait until you're finished. Then you'll be at a huge disadvantage with lower pools and no time to recover or flee. There would have to be a time frame (maybe ~30 seconds) when you cannot be attacked after battle to do so.

As for the difficulty of the AI, they shouldn't be harder than arena. Maybe they could all be set to easy so that everyone can beat them. Or set accordingly to the user's level. For example, if you are able to defeat normal AI, then you'd randomly be put in battles that are either normal AI or easy AI.

This sounds like a coding nightmare though. We'll see what Lsm thinks.

Another thing is that a lot of people do patrols, then go directly to kyoto and find a place to hide.... if someone going there has no pools from patrols... then the AI will easily slaughter them...

Although I do enjoy the idea, I think it would be pretty cool, but I had to add that into there.

Those people would have to take this change into consideration then. I'd imagine the likelihood of entering a random battle wouldn't be terribly high, so they could always take the risk and enter Kyoto anyway.

We'll take both sides of the argument into consideration. If enough users are against the idea and give valid points, then it won't be done. It'd be nice to draw more players into Kyoto, and this idea seems like it could go either way.

It would also help keep potential Kyoto bots out of Kyoto =o
And you can always bookmark a heal page and click it once you finish an Ai ;D

Personally I find being randomly attacked while traveling incredibly annoying. So I'm not really liking this idea, plus the bug about being able to be attacked by another player while in an AI fight needs to be fixed.

I'm not staff or anything, but I believe it would take a long time.
Seeing as finding bugs is difficult, especially the one lsm pointed out.
This bug hasent been found in an entire year. Ever since the game was released. So yeah if staff finds it they might set a time frame. But chances are that it wont happen soon. So don't get your hopes up.
