Random Damage Type for Balanced characters

Hi there. Just wanting to suggest a RANDOM damage type for moves which could be either Melee or Spirit depending upon a randomized 50/50 chance, or alternatively a X%/y% for either melee/spirit.

For example, a balanced move might be have a 30/70 melee/spirit chance. or a 50/50 or 70/30.

Then when the attack is used it will cause a bit of unpredictability in the battle .

Anyways, let me know if this is feasible? I would love to incorporate it into a custom zan move.
