Invasion Feedback

Just a few short additions I think would be better for the invasion system.

1. When invading able to enter other races barracks.
This creates no safe zone, and means that all that time spent on breaking open the gates to the other domain wont be wasted. Currently from my own experience and others it seems that the problem is when they get into the other races territory they cant do anything cause everyone is mostly sitting inside barracks. Keep in mind by letting them in barracks its only temporary and creates a bit more havoc.

2. When appearing in other races territory it could possibly be random destination.This stops bottleneckign on the entrance and gives the lower ranks who can invade a bit more of a chance to explore and do some damage which in turn would make it more fun as opposed to arriiving just to meet with a hax rank 8 when they finally reach the place and dieing.


Chi's compilation

- Rank 8 to attack rank 6 while they are in our base (make it so always one rank lower? no tier)
- Ability to enter barrackses during invasion (needs tweaking, only those with seats? 5 minutes of barracks breaching time from 15?)
- Random entry point to Kyoto/HM/SS (base area, 9 squares?) to prevent bottlenecking
- Bonus race points or squad points for those that helped break into the opponent base
- Attacking your own race is disabled while an invasion is occurring
- Enabling invasion for +R3 members as well
- Disable AI during invasion/make people engaged in AI fights attackable (apparently people have been sitting in AI fights to avoid being attacked)
- Barrackses following similar principle as bases but attacking them would have a cooldown timer of a minute or two so all can't be destroyed (at least without a lot of people)
- Font of Rejuvenation to give doubled passive AP gain instead of increased regen, with 2 minute movement timer
- When barracks is destroyed, people inside it are placed in random coordinates around it instead of invaders being able to directly go inside

I like mskod1's 2nd addition, makes sense, and isn't op. I remember when traveling to Kyoto was a hassle because of spawning at 0,0. So this 'addition' makes sense.

I like both of these additions, so far when I enter I go after the Shini that that is my rank, who is sitting at 15.15, to allow the younger ranks a chance to get in KC...but they are ambushed by other shini, the ones they can kill, are hiding in barracks, so I allow them to come to HM, I can get kills there. another thing I would like is to allow Rank 8 to attack rank 6 while they are in our base.

How about making it so only people with squad seats can breach barracks or a 5 min wait after their wall is broken before you can go inside barracks

I'll paste what I mentioned earlier in social:

"Yeh, it's a double-edged sword. On one hand it is bummering when the opposite race just hides. On the other hand it'd be bummering for the opposing race not to have anywhere to hide - forcing them to log off as the easiest way, which in turn solves nothing."

I would like to see possible ways of breaching the barrackses - without making it instant access. Such as barrackses having HP (how to reduce it?), mreh.

Little averse towards totally random coordinates, but would it being random coordinates inside the base (9 possible squares) be helpful?


Edit: A soc post reminded me just now. Dying causes little harm. There is no lost SP/RP upon death. There are no 30-minute timers. So dying really isn't as big of an issue as the main thing it does is hurt egos.

1. No way. people that don't want to pvp all the time shouldn't be forced too. Even though it's a pvp based game being able to rush the one save spot which prevents others from getting attacked is over the top, especially when you can attack most ranks during an invasion. There is a good chance that people will step outside for training during that time anyway. I would rather see bonus race points or squad points for those that helped break into the opponent base as a benefit instead.

2. I could take or leave this one. It makes sense that there is only one entry point, but random could be fine too.

Something else to add.... I would like it if attacking your own race is disabled while an invasion is occurring. There are enough enemies around and it seems people attack the same race by mistake during that time.

1. I see the problem with this too. Daichi made a good point forcing those that don't want to pvp into it is a bit cruel and would cause player issues. Players need to spend about 10secs outside of barracks to train a tiny window for someone to catch.

My thoughts went to a little time period of barracks entry
IDEA: So upon an invasion which lasts 15-20mins. 5mins of which barracks can be entered into.

2. Multiple entry points would be fine I think Haruchi, One just lets people sit and stop that entry for all ranks.

I like kings idea about having the barracks not able to breach for a certain amount of time if invasion lasts 15 mins then have a 5 min wait if it lasts 20 mins a 10 min wait till being able to breach barracks

If making barracks diving an option this should be implemented to stop the hunts for weaker ranks to keep things balanced. If not then they just need to deal with not always getting kills when invading. After all they could wait for a higher number of active players before invading to ensure better odds of kills I.E. attacking with only 4 active shini online (1 rank 7 player,3 rank 5 players) would only be a waste of time when looking for kills.

I wouldn't mind people being able to go into the barracks/squad/fraccion areas but it would have the same concept..have to destroy it to be able to get in =o then a cool off timer of a minute or two so you can't go on and destroy all the barracks under 5 minutes or so.

I think it would be a good idea for the Font of Rejuvenation to give double passive AP. This would likely increase the amount of people using the square (Hence, increasing the amount of people in KC). More people in KC means more PvP's. Many people, both Shini and Hollows complain about their not being enough people in KC. With people wanting that double AP, there should be increased activity in KC. Add that to the fact that the Font moves every two minutes, the fight over the square would rage across KC, unveiling others who might be using the distraction of the Square to hide in KC, to be found.

Let me add onto this by stating that they can only attack 1 rank below them since i didn't notice the "Rank 8 to attack rank 6 while they are in our base" part.

How about 30 seconds to attack the base instead of a minute? Would it go to fast? or maybe a increase on damage to the base

If barracks breaking gets implemented I think it would be nice if instead of people going into the barracks the squad has to evacuate it and are randomly placed just outside their barracks. Same way there would be random entry points when invading a base.

hmm, like a hollow can destroy a barrack and then get in and kill the shinis there, but how about shinies from diff squads, would they be able to get in the barracks and assist the fallen ppl against hollows?

invasion... bad or good? well the idea is great but non-stop?
well let's put it this way. you're a squad member, fresh out of academy, just stepping out of barracks... but wait! what's going on?  i've been attacked?! ok, what squad mem... an espada...? why must gods trample on us ants?

yes, i know, corny... but it gets the point across. having it happen non-stop can discourage young players just starting out. why not make it once a week but have the days picked at random. you get more spontaneity that way.

also, no rank restrictions when the actual invasion takes place? ok a rank 8 fighting ranks 5-7 is one thing, but still. you could keep attacks to a 2-3 rank difference or have just ranks 4 or 5 and above take part in invasions. otherwise the rest are just cannon fodder to be picked on. having been a mod myself for a while now, i've seen how new players can be easily discouraged.

Also, if breaking the barracks can happen were you can force people out or into pvp the time frame between when invasions can happen needs to be further apart. I know I would be upset if every 30 minutes my base was raided and I had to fight even if I was training or just trying to relax.

I'd like to see 0.0 and 15.15 be safe zones, like barracks, but only their race can be on the square. When they finally break through, they can go in the square and travel to SS/HM. It can be the race's safe spot in KC.

Edit: And possibly no AP gain in the squares ass well as regen? o.o Just a thought.

why have safe zones in kc? if one was allowed i think no ap should be gained there

destructible barracks sounds like a plan but to raise the odds how about making this purchaseable like if you were fortifying them say every 10 fp gives a guaranteed 1 minute of protection for the barracks 15 minutes is the max that can be bought at any time before or after a war if none is bought how about everyone's barrack is safe for the first 5 mins of the invasion then these will kick in

so every 10 fp/sp = 1 min of protection for that espada/captains barracks it will take 1 min for a attacker to complete a attack so that is 1 min off your protection unless you sadly have multiple attackers

I thought of something since Rank 6 can't be attacked by upper rank, how about defenders can repair their base. the same cost as in damaging a base, their base will be regenerated.
