Consolation Prizes:

Consolation prizes are awrded to those people who have FULLY participated in match ups until being eliminated. Each user can receive up to two consolation prize (one for mixed & one for race) - however, resigning or being DQed (this includes ranks that got canceled) will result in no consolation prize being awarded. The following shows what each rank will receive as a consolation.

the prize pool isnt correctly drawn. no reason R7 should only win 1.75m, 3m, and 6m. with their moves costing upwards 30m and then actually training them to cap even further. just saying some common sense should have been thought out. what i would suggest for the next pool prize is not give first prize BOTH the money and item. the item itself should be what the winnder gets, runner ups should then gain a small but helpful prize that isnt unique but is helpful.

i can make 3million in just 2 hours. this tournament lasted over a month, it shouldnt have been more imo


EDIT: i can assure you i can make the highest prize money in a single day. infact, i make 8m a day doing nothing but selling AP. add to that feeds/AI, 1,750,000 just looks discouraging. literally no point of participating in the next tournament if you have NO chance at 1st.

So tournament item effects seem to be the same as regular in terms of %. I mean for my rank i know that the most i can get from armory/evolutions is 7% and i received a 7% boost from tournament. Is it like this for any particular reason? I just thought it would be more

also i agree with the money being distributed is quite low. most of which can be earned in a single day.

Numbers have been updated in item effects, I kept them slightly low until I had a confirmation on numbers by Lsm. Everything's now up to date item number wise.

To comment on the "small amounts of money." The amount of participation, drop outs and DQs played a part in my determination on money. If there would have been more participation as a whole, the prizes would have subsequently been higher. For example:

~First Place~

• If more than (5) participants: Item & [8] shards & 7,000,000 yen/souls.
  
• If less than (5) participants: Item & [4] shards & 3,500,00 yen/souls.
  ~Second Place~
  
• If more than (7) participants: 6,000,000 yen/souls
  
• If less than (7) participants: 3,500,000 yen/souls
  ~Third place~
  
• If (7) or more participants: 3,000,000 yen/souls
  
• If (5) participants: 1,750,000 yen/souls
  
• If less than (5) participants: No third place
  

*Participant count is determined by place holders & eliminated participants. If a user quit, or was other wise DQed, they do not count towards participant total for their tier.

It's too late to change how I did it this tournament, but, if/when the next one happens there are two choices:

1) It can happen the way it did this time: Lower prizes but up to three places in each tier.
-or-
2) If the participation is low, we can have first & second place prizes only - in which case the prizes would be larger but not as many people would receive pay outs.

Just some for for thought / making note of how many of you would prefer this.



I have some ideas to change up how the tournament works, which I will post later, to see what you guys think - it would make the tournament longer but also give "weaker" users a chance at placing.

I think that would depend on how substantially larger the prize money would be. Even combining all prize money for a hollow or shini tournament from this one and splitting it between two wouldn't amount to much extra.

I still think 3 is a good amount giving people more chances to place just needs to increase the overall payout rate.

Fair point there were a lot of DQ's, another possible solution is designing money based on number of fights fought in a particular bracket.

e.g. if rank 5 Shinigamis really only had 2 fights that weren't DQ's Winner would receive 10mil (5mil per fight that wasn't a DQ) Whereas hollows rank 5 may have had 8 battles and as such receive larger price money 5*8, 40mil.

Obviously these numbers may not be ideal but the idea i think has merit if you are concerned about number of fights actually fought and resulting money distribution.
