My favorites are Senbonzakura, Benihime, Zanka no tachi, Zangetsu/Getsuga because of Mugetsu, and Tenken.

Why is everyone going for the most powerful Zanpakuto? Myself, I love a Zanpakuto that has amazing tactical properties.

No, it can't level an entire town, or auto-kill world-class badasses, but it's an exceptionally useful tool, and makes for a great execution tool to boot. If you were clever, as Izuru Kira has proven to be, you could really get some serious mileage with a Zanpakuto like that.
