[MUST READ] Roll Call, Kiddies

Hello my wonderful dead horses! Guess who came back from hell...again. Yep, you guessed it, complete with a new (spying) windows 10 and a new (breaking) phone, so I'll be FAR more active than I once was. Because of this, I'm taking a roll call of all the roleplayers that still actually roleplay here, or any new one's who would like to start.
Yes, yes, I realize our roleplays are childish at best (Except for the advanced members and the Never ending Circle plots, you guys rock my nirvana-socks!) but that doesn't mean we can't have a little bit of fun, now does it? After all, just because social prohibits us from flooding it with social interactions that require long winded gestures and otherwise descriptive emotions - that doesn't mean we can't flood forums, right? In any case, here's my "suggestion" to you.

I'm personally taking it upon myself to make a list (and check it mother-f*cking twice, for the hell of it) and get a bunch of the people who actually remain in on a plot that I've been racking for quite a few months. I'm also writing new chapters - and not risking accidental deletion of them, - so those active WILL be in the coming plot stories in any way I can shove em', preferably as main roles but hey - not everyone can be as dramatic as the trilogy, right? Call it narcisissism, or plain old favoritism, whatever it is - you all will be apart of my new found adoration of the written word, and the newer plots to come. Assuming you all haven't died of course.

So this is it! A roll call! Get to it or I'll ignore your exsistance as a roleplayer on this board because screw it, this is now MANDATORY in order to bring this place to half-life....again. Ahem. Code to use below, and yes, use it. If you don't, your post is invalid. Thank my now "many" years of being not only a co-admin but a global moderator on two roleplay forums. <3 I'm used to word counts and such, and since people seem to enjoy grade-school hand outs, this is the LEAST you could do for me right now.

Before I get myself involved any further, I'd like to know a few things about your up and coming RP story.

1) How much will it rely on past characters/events?
2) Will summaries of events or past characters' actions/profile be provided?
3) Will the story revolve around more than a single faction/family/clan?
4) Will new characters have room for character growth and not be simply passed off as extras in a convoluted story only a handful of old-timers will understand?
5) Will all participants have the opportunity to affect the course of the story or is every significant event or plot point set in stone?

Tsk.... More stupid roll calls... But eh, for my goddess, I suppose....

Name/Alias: Setoku Shinamori, Youkai/Nikana Diri, Kurome Izanaga (Maybe Ivy/Eshilieth Shinamori and Fujita Gouru.. And Lobo Oscuras. Damn, too many peeps. And Future: Erik Urizita)

Activity: everyday, least twice a day, no set times.

Main/Minor: mix of the two, as always.

Before I get myself involved any further, I'd like to know a few things about your up and coming RP story.

1) How much will it rely on past characters/events?
2) Will summaries of events or past characters' actions/profile be provided?

All very appreciated questions random person whom' I've never seen in my life! Allow me to answer in the best most polite way as I can, okay hun?

1) Assuming MORE than past characters/events take part, hopefully it won't HAVE to rely on such things. I personally see a forum for what it is: Lots of effort and community work would equal to lots of community, plot, story, opportunity, etc.

However when the only work being put in/submitted is by us - Me and Seto, - and all others just post one liners, no pasts or emotions, etc. then what does one expect from us? Please remember that this forum IS but a small part of the WoB rpg and as such is mostly passed by anyway. Please also remember that the only reason I'm a mod is because I cared enough to KEEP up and actually help/submit stuff, including other players information for them, because hey - I'm a nice chick. So, again, the only reason why the board is so heavily focussed on the shinamori's is this. THE ONLY EFFORT BY ANY PLAYER WAS FOR THE SHINAMORI. If you guys want to put in effort, I will SURELY help you do it, guide you, support you, write some mother effin' fanfiction for you - what the hell ever. But please, PLEASSSSSE don't expect anyone to give anybody anything without work. Because writing IS work, and posting little to no information, just saying a character is this and that, ain't gonna cut it for me. MAYBE for Seto - but he has lower standards when it comes to character development than I do. Which is EXACTLY WHY I'm asking this of you people.

2) This is a good question and deserves a good response, and that good response is YES. Among the updates I'd mentioned I WILL be creating a hall of information including but not limited to: Time lines, Updated Groups and what they stand for, Story Information, Thread information, OTM's (of the month characters, threads, etc.), An introductory plot, setting information, sub plot groups, NPC actions hosted by myself or another mod in order to guide your characters throughout their own life crisis issues and morals, etc.

THERE WILL BE lots of updates, because I promise Lacrimosa, I don't like the dead overly-done forum anymore than you do but having actual activity is a must, which is again - why I'm calling this meeting in the first place. I'm the only mod aside from Seto who can remain - as of this time FINALLY, - completely active and ready to serve you, the roleplayers, and I'm so ecstatic about that because I've been having update Ideas for so long! For instance apart of a sub-plot (A random happening or multiple happenings of players choice that happen every...I want to say two or three weeks, MAYBE a month,) is to put many roleplay characters under a certain task (By which I still need to flesh out,) and if they complete that task they get a little prize. Prizes also will be kept secret until I post the update thread. It won't be anything flashy per se, but I'm just a high school drop out with an UT degree so don't judge me, 'Mosa!

3) I feel this can be answered with number one but again, No. I want this board alive, with community and plot - or at least as much as a low-funded section of board can give. Like I said, this board is passed by many because WoB wasn't made for writers, it was made for gamers, so the lacking of writers is the ultimate source of this issue. I understand your frustration but when it comes down to it...if no one but two or three people is apart of a set thing then, what's a rp-group of four/six to do? It's not like we say "Nobody plot with us" it's just that nobody bothers to step in and say, "Look at me! I was thought out instead of written up just to swing my sword around and look cool!"

4) Alot of these questions can be answered above but to make another point: All characters have room for growth so long as the players work for it. I said all boards/charries/forums/etc. take effort, and when effort is put in I LOVE. IT. SO. MUCH. but if it's not, how can one possibly expect to flesh out hacking-sword 3.0? Okay, so let's say someone DID create a good character (and it happens: Eshilieth, Jennifer aka Wolfcub, Seth, and a few others were all other players characters before Setoku adopted them after said players got caught up in life. They didn't all start out in one clan either, and the only two TRUE affiliates of that clan as of now is Seto and Stray, we just put the adoptive charries in there with permission because nobody else was interested in taking them and we needed something to do while no activity was happening. We figured doing something and showing a bit of activity was better than doing nothing and letting it completely die.)

5) Okay this is just getting silly. I answered the same question written in five different ways. This question, this one annoying question, is the reason I'm doing this thread. Now, if you want your character to be apart of something, do as I said above your post. If not, please direct your Shinamori-hatred to a therapy room where your great lord Aizen may help you through your problems.

Once again so everything is crystaline for you:

- The reason the Shinamori Clan is so big is because people had to take leave and wanted something done with their charries.
- The reason nobody else is apart of that plot, a main center of that plot, and otherwise a badass of that plot is because nobody. ever. asked.
- The reason there is no other plot is because nobody. ever. asked.
- The reason there's no other clan is, you guessed it, nobody. bothered to put in the effort and create one.
- The reason we have so little staff is because lack of player effort leads to lack of mod effort, and that lead not only to destruction of our precious dead board but also the roleplayers self esteem. I'm here to ressurect that. I'm attempting to help you and all others get a spot light, help, guides, updates, plots, sub plots, actual...you know...ROLEPLAY. So, the least you could do is stop posting the same cynical question and start replying those codes so that I may get to work FASTER. FOR. YOU. and several other possibly happier roleplayers.

C'mon guys I know my charries are an insane scientist cliche and a depressed mama, but I'm really not that bad of a person. My characters do not reflect me - I'm not them, - I want to help, but if anyone has a problem with me attempting to make a change, then please hold your peace so the people who want to have fun can help me, as your beloved mod that's going to be active for a LONG time, makes it that way.

If you don't want to see 50 word-long character profiles, I suggest you make the character profile template more intricate then what's available now. More info on the settings/past major events and available roles will incite rpers to create more fleshed out characters.

Character(s): Aizen's Vizard/Quincy/Bount/Fullbringer son who was trained by Yamamoto. Nah, This will depend on what roles are available and what the setting has to offer. I am flexible. If i feel like putting the effort into a role-play, that is.

Activity: I'm a slow poster, but I can post 3-4 times a week depending on when other rpers' posts were made.

Main/Minor: Don't really care. Waiting to see where the story is headed.

Word Count: minimum of 200 words. More if I feel like making an effort. Less if I am given nothing to respond to.

RP Level: 5 years, most of which were spent as moderator and game master.

Note: I cannot play the game at work, but I can use the boards. My Home PC is much slower, but can access the game, but I generally play the game on my Smartphone.

Explanation: on a couple of games I inspired, and one I ran/run, there was a thing called "PPCs" which stood for Plot Player-Characters. These were incredibly powerful characters a reliable (and fair) Player could play, that would possess far greater-than-average power and abilities, but they were merely a tool for the other players to use to develop their stories, ie: the insanely powerful Guru of Obsidian Mountain who guided, taught, and occasionally even trained players who made it to his Mountain, in exchange for slightly increased rewards. As PPCs, we could not merely do as we pleased, and using the power we'd been granted (to move Plot along) could result in a Demotion, or (depending upon severity) a BAN. We were altruistic souls, literally speaking, who existed merely to play a character that would help other characters grow.
I have always flourished, thrived, prospered in such roles, and would love to serve in such a capacity again, circumstances permitting.

Heya boss!
You seem pretty cool, so you've got my vote on the subject for now. You're free to do as you like despite the construction zone, but you only have 1/2 approvals meaning Seto will most likely come in and approve/deny you when he has time out of time day. If he doesn't approve it, and says he's not for it, then we can't do it. But by all means write as you like until that point!

I won't designate your charrie as a PPCP since we already unspokenly have those, but you're welcome to guide other characters with your writing and impress us all with your experience. Thanks for waiting, and before I close- I read your thread you recently created. You're writing looks pretty.
