Well Greed in your case I doubt you would be called for battle holding if your opponent consistently ran outside your range to avoid your attack. I'm sure all the staff would give you opponent an official warning in that circumstance if you had one watching the fight.

Chrom wrote:Let me clarify, battle holding is generally:
Moving away MORE than 3 turns in a row.
Moving away for 3 turns more than three times.
As well as using only buffs, heals, barriers, sealing/releasing, and moving for MORE than 6 turns.

So, if someone is using the combination you said: HSR, run, run, run, HSR, run, run (at this point it is battle holding), etc. Then you need to contact a mod or have sufficient proof for us to do anything about it. Sufficient proof would be to have a screen shot of every move in order given to us via the report button on the offenders profile -- your best bet is to have a staff member watch the fight though.

I think Chrom summarized it well o.o anything non damaging is considered battle holding after a set amount of turns? XD found his explanation the most informative o.o

Not correct Lana there are some custom attack moves that do no damage but are still considered attacks. But those are usually far and few in between.

Battle Holding is, but is not limited to:
- Moving away from your opponent for more than 3 consecutive turns.
- Moving away for 3 consecutive turns more than 3 times.

What exactly does this mean? o,o Explain please

Kinda confusing is it saying I can move away 3 times in a row aslong as I don't do it more then 2 times? Example attack, move move move, attack move move, attack, move, move, move, attack move move, attack move move?

Legs, your example would still be battle-holding because:
1) It needlessly prolongs the duration of the battle.
and/or
2) You/they were doing it just to drain off pools.

Regenners shouldn't be a problem anymore due to the recent update on swords. As stated before, if you know a user is a problem let a staff member know so that we can try out best to keep an eye on them; hopefully a battlelog will be implemented soon.

This topic is 3 years old, but I will contribute (because this conversation still comes up), to say:

I am constantly targeted by other Shinigami with maxed out stats, who like to prey upon low-hanging fruit in their own Faction, rather than go out and fight hollows their own skill/stat-levels, or rank-up and fight more equal opponents.

In the anime, in any novel, in any comic book, you will find people - Tacticians, primarily - who will try and either wear out an opponent with inferior stamina, or they will retreat long enough to catch their breath, drink a potion/heal/etc, then engage their foe again in combat.

I am not rushing headlong to my death, when I already get spammed with kills from character whose stats are 10x-20x my own, on the regular.

Call it Battle Holding, Hell in a Cell, Cage in a Cage, Painus in Uranus... I'm doing what it takes to survive these vapid assaults for as long as I can.

It's not illegal, because I do not exist on WoB to be a Chewtoy for my higher-ranking, uninspiring Faction-mates.

Max please do not reply to dead threads. Seeing how this is 3 years ago it would be best to post your own thread as a suggestion with ideas on how to solve the issue. Also constantly running and healing to prolong a battle could be considered battle holding which falls understand harassment. Your going to get killed until you're strong enough to defend yourself. Seeing how this topic is 3 years old I'm going to lock it now.
